The Process

Step 1

Contact the wedding celebrant – me! I’ll then send you through a quote with inclusions.

Step 2

Next we can organise a catch up at a local café for a chat (no pressure or sales talk I promise!),  and if you choose me as your wedding celebrant we can fill out the Notice of Intent to Marry. This can be completed at our first meeting or later down the track (but at least one month prior to your ceremony date).

To complete the NOIM, I will need to view your drivers license and birth certificate (or passport). If either of you have been married before, you will need to show me evidence that you are no longer married.

Step 3

From there I will send you a questionnaire for you both to fill out. I will write the ceremony and we will review it (via email or in person, however you prefer).

Step 4

We will catch up again for a wedding rehearsal (if you would like to have one) where we will also sign the Declaration Of no Legal Impediment.

On the Big Day

I’ll arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your ceremony, ensure everything is as it should be (i.e. rings, tissues, have a quick chat with the photographer, videographer, band and/or dj).

We sign three documents on the day – one for me, one for you and one I send to Births, Deaths and Marriages Victoria.

Enjoy the best day of your life!

Post Wedding Day

Post wedding day, I will send you the link for you to apply for your marriage certificate via BDM Vic (cost is about $30 and it should take a few weeks to arrive).

Pop up to your local Police Station and have your marriage certificate copied and certified a few times as you are guaranteed to need to provide evidence of your marriage at some point.

Enjoy married life!
